Woodland scenes and florals along with ornamental patterns all come together to create a warm, design that is warm and homely.  

My sanctuary is first and foremost my home. I love the nature that surrounds it, and also escaping into the world of sewing and crafts. The Sanctuary Quilt can symbolize home or a beloved cabin. Tone Finnanger a Norwegian designer founded the Tilda brand in 1999.

Whimsical naive characters and charming fabric design is what Tilda Patchwork Fabrics are best known for. There is a certain attitude to life in Tilda’s world. Whimsical and romantic, like a ball gown worn with wellies – perfectly imperfect! The Tilda range consists of products such as fabrics, kits, ribbons, buttons, accessories and books.  

All Tilda products are produced and distributed by Tilda Patchwork Fabrics. They are available in most of Europe. They are also available in the USA as well as other countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. Book titles are published by David and Charles Ltd.  Tilda books have been translated into more than 18 languages.  

Tone is the founder and owner of Tilda AS and Tilda Fabrics AS. Tilda products are all designed by Tone Herself. 

Tone started Tilda in 1999 when she was only 25 years old. She has been working with the brand ever since. Tilda is now a known and loved brand among crafters throughout the world.
